I grew up in a south suburb of Chicago, Illinois where I received my teaching degree after invaluable experiences in inner-city schools. I moved to Alaska in 1994 with my husband and five ferrets. Sadly, we no longer have the ferrets, but now we share our home with our two children, a bearded dragon, an African grey parrot, a cockateil, and a frog. We love the beauty of Alaska and are constantly amazed by the wildlife.
I have been teaching in the Anchorage School District for 22years. I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade along with several combo classes. This is my third year working as a library media specialist in the library. If I could give the world a gift, it would be the love of reading. In my free time I love to read, exercise, cycle, quilt, do arts and crafts, and spend time with my family and friends. I also love to travel.
